Effective January 31, 2003, reporting persons or entities such as casinos, financial institutions, life insurance companies and foreign exchange dealers must send large cash transaction reports to Canada's Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC) in the following situations:

An amount of $10,000 or more in cash in the course of a single transaction is received; or

Two or more cash amounts of less than $10,000 that total $10,000 or more if the transactions were made within 24 consecutive hours of each other by or on behalf of the same individual.

The LCT/FINTRAC module lets you record and report Large Cash Transactions (LCTs) to Canada's Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC).
