In 2002, iView Systems initial entry into the Security Information Management platform market was based upon a combination of extensive in-house experience by its founders. The goal was to develop an integrated and modular software platform for security, surveillance and risk management purposes into a single enterprise application to meet customer requirements of the time.

Throughout the past 10 years the industry has not stood still; requirements for such systems have become far more sophisticated and more structured by the adoption of best practices within the industry. Industry standards, guidelines, training and education by ASIS have also played a significant part.
